Privacy Policy

Last Updated on: 7-19-2021

InstaConsult (“us,” “we,” or “our”) operates this website and the InstaConsult platforms and mobile applications (the “App”), collectively referenced herein as the “Site,” and your privacy is important to us.  This Privacy Policy is applicable to you upon your access and use of the Site, and informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, protection, and disclosure of information we receive from users of the Site.

Please read the Privacy Policy carefully before you start to use the Site. By accessing and/or using the Site, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, found at https://instaconsult.pro/terms/, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Site.  We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will notify you through the Site, the App or by other means so that you may review the changes before you continue to use the Site and the App. Continuing to use the Site or the App after we publish or communicate a notice about any changes to this Privacy Policy means that you are consenting to the changes.

How We Collect Personal Information

We employ commercially reasonable measures to protect your privacy while visiting our Site, endeavoring to provide the most useful and enjoyable experience possible.  This Policy applies to information we collect on this Site, in e-mail, text, electronic messages between you and this Site, and through mobile and desktop applications you download from the Site.  Through your use of the Site, we will share transactional information such as demographics, personal identity, and photographs or video with healthcare practice groups.

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Site.  While you can review sections of the Site anonymously, you are required to provide Personal Information to gain access to our services.  Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, healthcare insurance information, and medical history.  For example, we may ask you to provide us with Personal Information that can be used to contact or identify you, including information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site. This includes information provided at the time of registering to subscribe to the Site or using the service.  We collect this information throughout the registration and consult submission process and maintain the information regardless of whether the registration and submission is completed.

We will sometimes aggregate your Personal Information with that of many other of our users in order to better understand our customers and their needs.  We may supply such information to third parties to help us with our analysis or for them to use in their business.

Automatic Information

We may also collect automatic information such as browser type and version, browser language, your operating system and platform, and the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet. This information does not identify you, but is statistical data used for analytical purposes and helps us provide more relevant services to users. As another example, we may use this information to administer and troubleshoot issues directly related to the Site, such as Site administration or to analyze certain trends in Site usage. The technology we use to obtain this information includes cookies, which is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our Site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Site.

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Information:

  • To present our Site and its contents to you.
  • To provide transactional and consult information to healthcare practices.
  • To provide you with higher quality service by understanding where you live and the services in which you are interested.
  • To provide you with information or services that you request from us.
  • To fulfill any purpose for which you provide it.

How We Protect Your Personal Information

We have taken commercially reasonable precautions to protect the data and information under our control from misuse, loss, or alteration, and the Site is compliant with the privacy and security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the federal Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (collectively HIPAA). However, since the internet is a public and open facility, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet.  Our security measures include healthcare industry standard technology and equipment to help protect your data. Unfortunately, no system can ensure complete security and you should take steps to protect your information and transmissions, such as keeping your login and password secure and making sure that you completely log out when you have finished using the Site.

We retain the Personal Information you provide while your account is in existence or as needed to provide you services. We may retain your Personal Information even after you have closed your account if retention is reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce this Privacy Policy. We may retain Personal Information, for a limited period of time, if requested by law enforcement.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Site. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for user circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site

Opting Out

If at any time after registering for information, you change your mind about receiving information from us or using our services, send us a request specifying your new choice. Simply send your request to [email protected] .

Many browsers and mobile operating systems enable you to indicate your preference regarding online tracking. You can set your browser or mobile operating system to a “do not track” or similar setting and, when your browser or mobile operating system passes your request to us, we will not serve you targeted advertising, although we may continue to collect data about your use of the Site and App.

Links to Third Party Sites

Our Site may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us, such as app purchase platforms, partner websites, or social media sites like Facebook. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services.

Children

We do not sell products or services for purchase by anyone under the age of 18. At no time do we allow users under the age of 18 to register as users or directly provide personal or health information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under the age of 18, please contact us at [email protected] .

Content Generated by a Child

The Site allows parents and guardians to create, manipulate, and save content about a minor child. Because children cannot create a registered user account on the Site, they cannot create content or submit information directly. If we suspect a child has attempted to create an account and submit information, we will seek verifiable parental consent by email for the collection.

Parental Choices and Controls

At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further information from them about their children in associate with a particular user account. Limiting the information we can collect about your children may limit the functionality provided by some sections of the Site. At any time, a parent or guardian can elect to deactivate their user account or that of their minor child.

Compliance with Legal Process

Please be aware that we will release specific Personal Information about you if required to do so in order to comply with applicable law or any valid legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order. We may also choose to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
